These terms govern your use of the Laires Labs website at laireslabs.com. Engagement-specific terms (scope, fees, deliverables, warranties, IP) are agreed separately under a signed statement of work for each commission.

Site content

The content on this site is provided for general information about our services. It is not legal, financial, regulatory, or professional advice. Nothing on this site constitutes an offer or acceptance of an engagement; engagements begin only once a statement of work is signed by both parties.

Intellectual property

The site, including its design, copy, and code, is owned by Laires Labs and protected by copyright and trade-mark law. You may share links to public pages and quote brief extracts with attribution. You may not copy substantial portions of the site or republish them without written permission.

Code we ship to clients under a signed engagement is governed by the IP terms in that engagement's statement of work. By default, source code and supporting artefacts are transferred to the client on completion.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site to attempt to bypass security controls, scrape content at scale without permission, or probe the site for vulnerabilities other than under responsible-disclosure terms (robin@laireslabs.com).

Third-party links

The site may link to third-party tools and resources. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the content, terms, or privacy practices of those third parties.

Liability

The site is provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for purpose, and non-infringement in respect of the website itself. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

Engagement-specific liability terms are negotiated and agreed in each statement of work.

Privacy

Use of the site is also governed by our privacy policy.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be flagged at the top of this page with a new "last updated" date.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms or your use of the site.
